YPN

For 35 years, YPN has offered quality, long-term prenatal and parenting education to moms and dads ages 13-27 who are parenting children five years and younger. The participants served come voluntarily, to be the best parents they can be. Programming has grown to include language specific groups for Spanish and French speaking parents, home visitation services, and early literacy initiatives. All YPN programs and services are focused on empowering families by creating a network of support through education and resources, building confidence and personal accountability for healthy and successful families. In fiscal year 2019, YPN served more than 1,590 moms, dads and kids, and distributed more than 164,000 diapers to families through the Eastern Iowa Diaper Bank, located in the YPN incentive-based We Care Shop.
